Anthony goes through the story and tells us more stories about the war. He talks about a scene in particular where he was telling us about his sister. He said that she was insane and in a mental hospital. He also speaks of a time where he is bored sitting in his room and he has the muzzle of his m16 in his mouth. This is telling the reader that he is severely bored and wants to just die! He also talks about getting letters from college aged girls. He speaks of a girl who is very much into dropping acid and f***ing a lot. He cleans out the "s#!773r5" and talks about how the higher ranking people aren't supposed to be doing that, but they make him do it anyway because the person on watch fell asleep and didn't wake anyone up. So basically Anthony gets screwed over by Dettmann. Later in the book Anthony tries to intimidate the guy and teach him a lesson by scaring him into believing that he will kill him.
